The Philadelphia Eagles have made several changes to their roster, placing cornerback Jakorian Bennett, wide receiver Darius Cooper, and outside linebacker Nolan Smith on Injured Reserve. To fill these vacancies, the team signed safety Marcus Epps, tight end Cameron Latu, and cornerback Parry Nickerson to the 53-man active roster.

Linebacker Lance Dixon, defensive back Eli Ricks, and wide receiver Quez Watkins were added to the practice squad. All three players have previous experience with the Eagles organization.

Nolan Smith has recorded eight pressures this season. Last year, he had 6.5 sacks during the regular season and set a franchise record with four sacks in the playoffs. Bennett joined the Eagles during Training Camp after a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders and has played 24 defensive snaps this season. Darius Cooper made the roster as an undrafted free agent but exited Sunday’s game due to a shoulder injury.

Epps, Latu, and Nickerson were promoted from the practice squad. Epps was released by the New England Patriots at final cuts before joining Philadelphia’s practice squad; he appeared in each of the first three games for the Eagles but required elevation to stay eligible for play on game days. Latu debuted in Week 2 against Kansas City and was also elevated last week; he has filled in at fullback since Ben VanSumeren went on Injured Reserve. Nickerson has played 30 career NFL games across five teams and last saw regular-season action with Miami in 2023 under coach Vic Fangio.

Lance Dixon went undrafted out of Toledo before being waived by Philadelphia at final cuts but now rejoins via the practice squad. Ricks spent two seasons on Philadelphia’s active roster with additional time on its practice squad this year. Watkins returns after being drafted by Philadelphia in 2020; he posted a personal best of 647 receiving yards during his four-year tenure.
