The Philadelphia Eagles have elevated safety Andre’ Sam from the practice squad for Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders. This marks the third time this season that Sam has been elevated.
According to team policy, if Sam is to play again this season, he will need to be added to the active roster. Sam joined the Eagles as a rookie free agent from LSU in 2024 and spent his first year on the team’s practice squad. He made his NFL debut during Week 14 in a win over the Panthers.
Sam was also elevated for games against the Bears and Chargers, where he played 19 snaps, all on special teams. The team notes that Sam’s presence will add depth at safety behind Reed Blankenship, Sydney Brown, and Marcus Epps.
