Career performances from Jalen Hurts and DeVonta Smith helped the Philadelphia Eagles secure a 28-22 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 7, improving their record to 5-2. Hurts completed 19 of 23 passes for 326 yards and three touchdowns, achieving a perfect passer rating. Smith set a new career high with 183 receiving yards, including a 79-yard touchdown reception.

The Eagles opened the game with a 75-yard drive, capped by a 37-yard touchdown pass from Hurts to A.J. Brown on fourth down. The Vikings responded with a 59-yard field goal by Will Reichard after a botched snap. In the second quarter, Jalyx Hunt intercepted Carson Wentz and returned it 41 yards for a touchdown, extending Philadelphia’s lead. Andrew Mukuba added another interception for the Eagles defense.

Minnesota managed to cut into the lead with field goals from Reichard, but the Eagles continued to produce big plays. Hurts connected with Smith for a 79-yard touchdown in the third quarter. The Vikings scored their first touchdown on a 1-yard run by Jordan Mason.

Defensively, Moro Ojomo recorded a sack on Wentz in the fourth quarter, leading to another Vikings field goal. Hurts later found Brown for his second touchdown of the day. A late 45-yard completion from Hurts to Brown helped the Eagles maintain possession and run out the clock.

A.J. Brown finished with four receptions for 121 yards and two touchdowns. The Eagles will face the New York Giants at home next Sunday after losing to them in Week 6.
