The Philadelphia Eagles held their final joint practice with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday at the NovaCare Complex, focusing on red zone plays and facing defensive pressures from their opponent.

On offense, Brett Toth stepped in at left guard and Matt Pryor took over at right tackle as Landon Dickerson (knee) and Lane Johnson (rest) were sidelined. Running backs played a key role in the passing game, with A.J. Dillon catching multiple passes during team drills. Dillon was involved in four consecutive completions from quarterback Tanner McKee during the final period. Ben VanSumeren made a catch out of the backfield, while Will Shipley recorded three receptions.

Montrell Johnson returned from a hamstring injury to make several runs through the defense, showing his quickness both to the left side and up the middle. Jalen Hurts completed passes to Dallas Goedert—who scored after cornerback Myles Harden slipped—and DeVonta Smith near the goal line. Hurts also demonstrated his running ability behind center Cam Jurgens.

During another session, Dillon ran successfully up the middle thanks to blocking by Toth, and later found space on an outside run aided by Pryor and Grant Calcaterra.

Defensively, Andrew Mukuba intercepted a tipped pass in the end zone during team drills: “Andrew Mukuba had an end zone interception to close out team drills. Browns wide receiver Diontae Johnson dropped a pass and tipped it into the air, and Mukuba was in perfect position for the pick.”

The Eagles’ defensive line generated early pressure, including Jordan Davis stopping a run at scrimmage and Reed Blankenship making a play from secondary. Sydney Brown broke through for what could have been a significant hit if not for limited contact rules; he also forced a fumble by playing through one whistle.

Adoree’ Jackson saw extensive action alongside Quinyon Mitchell with tight coverage against top Browns receivers. Jihaad Campbell remained active around the ball throughout practice, while Nolan Smith recorded a would-be sack and Jalyx Hunt pressured quarterback Joe Flacco.

A.J. Brown (hamstring), Lane Johnson (rest), Lewis Cine (groin), Landon Dickerson (knee), and Kenyon Green (shoulder) all missed practice due to injury or rest protocols. Elijah Cooks returned as a limited participant after recovering from a shoulder issue.

The Eagles will conduct a walk-through on Friday before facing Cleveland in their preseason game Saturday at 1 PM at Lincoln Financial Field.
