The Philadelphia Eagles released their estimated injury report ahead of the upcoming regular-season finale against the Washington Commanders. The team conducted a walkthrough on New Year’s Eve, so the injury report for Wednesday is based on estimations rather than an actual practice.

Earlier in the day, the Eagles announced that several starters will rest during Sunday’s game. This decision is intended to give key players a break before Wild Card Weekend, where the Eagles are set to host a playoff game. Currently holding the No. 3 seed, they could move up to No. 2 if they win and the Chicago Bears lose to the Detroit Lions.

If a full practice had taken place on Wednesday, four players would have missed it: linebacker Nakobe Dean (hamstring), tight end Dallas Goedert (knee), tackle Lane Johnson (foot), and outside linebacker Jaelan Phillips (ankle). Rookie linebacker Jihaad Campbell would have participated in a limited capacity due to back and shoulder injuries, while rookie tackle Cameron Williams would have been a full participant as he practices within his designated return window from Injured Reserve for a shoulder injury.

The official Eagles injury report lists:
– Did Not Participate: LB Nakobe Dean (Hamstring), TE Dallas Goedert (Knee), T Lane Johnson (Foot), OLB Jaelan Phillips (Ankle)
– Limited Participation: LB Jihaad Campbell (Back/Shoulder)
– Full Participation: T Cameron Williams (Shoulder)

For Washington, the Commanders plan to play their starters despite being eliminated from playoff contention with a 4-12 record. This marks their second consecutive season ending in Philadelphia after reaching last year’s NFC Championship.

Quarterback Jayden Daniels remains limited in practice but will not play against Philadelphia due to a left elbow injury sustained in November. Backup quarterback Marcus Mariota was sidelined with right hand and quad injuries; if he cannot play Sunday, Josh Johnson will start at quarterback for Washington.

Left tackle Laremy Tunsil continues to be out with an oblique injury and did not participate Wednesday; he also missed the previous matchup against Philadelphia two weeks ago because of this issue.

The Commanders’ injury report includes:
– Did Not Participate: RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt (Illness), QB Marcus Mariota (Right Hand/Quad), OLB Von Miller (Rest), T Laremy Tunsil (Oblique), LB Bobby Wagner (Knee/Rest)
– Limited Participation: QB Jayden Daniels (Left Elbow)
– Full Participation: LB Nick Bellore (Concussion), T George Fant (Knee), DT Daron Payne (Back)
