The Philadelphia Eagles have scheduled the 9th annual Eagles Autism Challenge, presented by Lincoln Financial, for Saturday, May 9, 2026. The event will take place at Lincoln Financial Field and aims to raise funds for autism research and care programs. All participant-raised funds from the event will go directly to support the neurodiverse community.
Registration is now open for the 2026 Eagles Autism Challenge at EaglesAutismChallenge.org.
Ryan Hammond, Executive Director of the Eagles Autism Foundation, stated: “Through the stewardship of Jeffrey Lurie, the Eagles Autism Challenge continues to make a transformational impact in the autism community, while serving as a destination for Eagles fans and autism supporters around the world. One hundred percent of funds raised from this signature fundraising event go directly back to our community through our research and community grant programs, which assist those currently affected by autism, as well as future generations. The Eagles Autism Challenge would not be possible without the support of dedicated partners like Lincoln Financial, Five Below, Wawa, FreedomPay, West, and many others. We are excited to join forces with our partners, generous donors, and enthusiastic participants to further our mission of turning autism awareness into action on Saturday, May 9.”
The event includes a bike ride and a family-friendly 5K run/walk that start and finish at Lincoln Financial Field. Participants can choose from several routes: the Wawa Hoagie 10-Mile Ride goes through Philadelphia and its suburbs; the FreedomPay 5K Run/Walk is certified by US Track & Field; and there is also a West Sensory Walk designed for families or individuals with sensory challenges. A virtual participation option is available for those unable to attend in person.
John Kennedy, EVP and Chief Distribution and Brand Officer at Lincoln Financial said: “Celebrating our ninth year as the presenting sponsor of the Eagles Autism Challenge, Lincoln Financial is proud to stand alongside the Philadelphia Eagles and the Eagles Autism Foundation in championing awareness and action to support the autism community around the world. This event is always a highlight for us as we bring together employees from Team Lincoln along with family, friends, and neighbors at Lincoln Financial Field to raise critical funds and awareness for autism, helping to advance research and support for millions globally.”
All routes end at Lincoln Financial Field where participants will be greeted with a celebration that includes activities for families and an awards ceremony featuring appearances by Eagles players and special guests. There will also be a Friday Night Kickoff Party on May 8 before race day.
Participants will receive commemorative items such as jerseys or t-shirts depending on their activity choice along with medals upon finishing. Those who meet certain fundraising milestones can earn exclusive prizes including autographed memorabilia.
To encourage donations early in this campaign cycle—the Five Below Foundation has committed to matching up to $75,000 in online donations dollar-for-dollar during its first matching gift drive of this season (up to $1,000 per donation).
There is also an “Early Bird” registration promotion available until Thursday October 31st—using promo code “earlybird26” provides registrants with half off their entry fee.
Since launching its efforts in 2018 through fundraising associated with its foundation—the organization has funded over 150 research projects or grants focused on exploratory work related to autism spectrum disorders. In addition—over $10 million was raised in 2025 alone—with grant funding decisions expected soon.
