Pro Bowl left guard Landon Dickerson was briefly sidelined during Monday night’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers due to a calf injury. Despite missing 12 offensive snaps, the Philadelphia Eagles reported that Dickerson would have been a limited participant in practice on Wednesday if the team had held a full session. The Eagles conducted only a walkthrough, so their injury report is an estimation.
All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson remains out with a foot injury sustained in Week 11 against Detroit. He would not have practiced on Wednesday. Fred Johnson has filled in for Lane Johnson since his injury.
Defensive tackle Jalen Carter continues to be sidelined with injuries to both shoulders and did not play against the Chargers. In Carter’s absence, Jordan Davis and Moro Ojomo started at defensive tackle, while Byron Young contributed significantly by playing 32 snaps.
Long snapper Charley Hughlett’s 21-day practice window was opened on Wednesday as he recovers from an abdominal injury that has kept him out since Week 4. Hughlett would have participated fully in practice. His replacement, Cal Adomitis, was waived by the Eagles on Tuesday.
Rookie offensive tackle Myles Hinton will remain on Injured Reserve for the rest of the season after his practice window expired due to a back injury.
The Eagles’ estimated participation report lists:
– Did Not Participate: DT Jalen Carter (Shoulders), T Lane Johnson (Foot)
– Limited Participation: G Landon Dickerson (Calf)
– Full Participation: LB Zack Baun (Hand), LS Charley Hughlett (Abdomen)
For the Las Vegas Raiders, quarterback Geno Smith and defensive end Maxx Crosby were among several players who did not participate in Wednesday’s practice. Smith left last Sunday’s loss to Denver with a shoulder injury and was replaced by former Eagles quarterback Kenny Pickett, who led two scoring drives late in the game.
Other notable absences for the Raiders included safety Jeremy Chinn (back), linebacker Jamal Adams (knee), and tight end Ian Thomas (calf). Defensive end Maxx Crosby missed practice with knee and shoulder injuries after being questionable last week as well.
Raiders’ starting left tackle Kolton Miller returned as a limited participant following an ankle injury that has kept him out since September.
The Raiders’ estimated participation report includes:
– Did Not Participate: LB Jamal Adams (Knee), S Jeremy Chinn (Back), DE Maxx Crosby (Knee/Shoulder), QB Geno Smith (Right Shoulder/Back), TE Ian Thomas (Calf)
– Limited Participation: WR Alex Bachman (Thumb), TE Michael Mayer (Ankle), T Kolton Miller (Ankle), WR Dont’e Thornton (Concussion)
– Full Participation: C/G Jordan Meredith (Foot)
Both teams are managing key injuries ahead of Sunday’s matchup at Lincoln Financial Field.
