The Philadelphia Eagles made changes to their active roster on Wednesday, claiming guard/center Willie Lampkin and signing long snapper Charley Hughlett. The moves resulted in the waiving of guard/center Trevor Keegan and safety Tristin McCollum.
Willie Lampkin, measuring 5-foot-11 and weighing 290 pounds, joined the Eagles after being signed by the Los Angeles Rams as a rookie free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft from North Carolina. He participated in the Senior Bowl and played both guard and center during his time with the Rams in preseason games. According to Pro Football Focus, he was rated as the top rookie offensive lineman during that period.
Charley Hughlett comes to Philadelphia after spending ten seasons with the Cleveland Browns. Over his career there, he appeared in 155 regular-season and playoff games and made 27 tackles on special teams. He served as a team captain and concluded his time with Cleveland ranked fifteenth in franchise history for games played. Kicker Jake Elliott commented on Hughlett’s arrival: “It’s just clean. It feels the same every time. A lot of credit to him for kind of just jumping in here and kind of just making a seamless transition,” Elliott said. “He’s done a great job.”
To make room for these additions, Trevor Keegan—selected by Philadelphia in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Michigan—was waived. Keegan won a National Championship at Michigan before playing 35 snaps on offense for the Eagles last season.
Tristin McCollum was also released after playing a career-high 250 defensive snaps last season for Philadelphia, starting two games. He participated in all four postseason contests, including Super Bowl LIX, having originally joined as a future contract signing in 2023.
The Eagles’ practice squad now has three open spots available, provided one is allocated to an international player.
