The Philadelphia Eagles have added defensive tackle Jacob Sykes to their practice squad and released cornerback Eli Ricks from the same unit.

Sykes, who played college football at UCLA, entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2023 with the Seattle Seahawks. After being waived by Seattle, he spent time with the San Antonio Brahmas of the United Football League. The Eagles originally signed Sykes on July 22. He remained with the team during training camp but was let go during final roster cuts.

Eli Ricks joined the Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2023 and made the initial 53-man roster that year. Over two seasons, he stayed with Philadelphia before being waived at this year’s cutdown deadline. He was re-signed to the practice squad on September 3 before his release.
