Dr. Anjali Vaidya comments on Sotatercept study for early-stage pulmonary arterial hypertension

Anjali Vaidya, MD, Director of the Advanced Pulmonary Hypertension, Right Heart Failure and Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension Program at Temple University Hospital, provided her perspective to MedPage Today regarding the results of the HYPERION trial. The study examined the use of Sotatercept in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) within one year of diagnosis.

The findings from the HYPERION trial were presented at the European Respiratory Society (ERS) Congress and published in the New England Journal of Medicine. Dr. Vaidya was not a participant in conducting the trial but commented on its significance for clinical practice.

Temple University Hospital announced that as of 8:00 AM on September 3, all Labor and Delivery services will be moved from its Main Campus to a new hospital location. The Main Campus at Broad and Ontario Streets will no longer provide childbirth services.
