Cooper DeJean has been ranked No. 60 in the NFL’s Top 100 Players of 2025, according to an announcement by the league on Monday. He joins left tackle Jordan Mailata, who was listed at No. 69, as Philadelphia Eagles players named so far.
DeJean played a significant role in Philadelphia’s defense during his rookie season and made a notable contribution with a pick-six against Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl. Despite starting last offseason injured and missing some practice time, he became a starter by Week 6 and quickly had an impact on the field.
He finished fourth in AP Defensive Rookie of the Year voting, demonstrating physical play throughout the season. One key moment was his hit on Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry.
The Eagles traded up to select DeJean with the 40th overall pick in the 2024 draft. A year later, he is recognized by players across the league as one of its top performers.
“It was quite the rookie year for Cooper DeJean, and his peers took notice.”
“The nickel cornerback helped transform Philadelphia’s league-leading defense and capped off his first season with an iconic pick-six of Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl.”
“DeJean started last offseason injured and missed valuable practice reps, but he entered the starting lineup in Week 6 and made an immediate impact. Finishing fourth in AP Defensive Rookie of the Year voting, DeJean’s physicality was on display throughout the season, and there was no bigger example of that than his hit on Ravens running back Derrick Henry.”
“The Eagles traded up to draft DeJean 40th overall in 2024, and a little more than a year later, players around the league voted him as one of the best.”
