Beginning at 8:00 AM on September 3, Temple University Hospital – Main Campus will no longer provide Labor and Delivery services. These services are being relocated to a new hospital location.

A Becker’s ASC Review article titled “Where 5 Cardiologists Think Technology Is Headed” includes insights from Dr. Anjali Vaidya. Dr. Vaidya is the Director of the Advanced Pulmonary Hypertension, Right Heart Failure & Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension (CTEPH) Program at Temple University Hospital. She discussed a novel screening tool developed by physicians at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine. This virtual echocardiography screening tool (VEST) is designed to improve the detection of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). According to recent research, when VEST is integrated into the electronic medical record (EMR) system, it can produce accurate PAH risk scores without requiring manual calculations.
