A HUGE SHOUT OUT to Jayden Torres from J.S. Jenks Elementary School (Chestnut Hill) Academy for Arts and Sciences for ranking first place in the Pennsylvania Council on Financial Literacy’s Stock Market Challenge statewide middle school division for the spring 2020 competition. Congratulations to Jayden and his teachers Robert Kenyon and Stephen Kell.

Josh Gladden has been named to leadership roles at both SURA and ORAU. These appointments expand Temple University’s presence within key national research collaborations.
Temple University hosted its annual Three-minute Thesis Competition on March 26 with doctoral students presenting concise summaries of their research projects. Winners included Doyoung Kim for surgical needle strategies and Kristina Westover for teacher resilience studies.
Temple University sent 33 students to Harrisburg as part of its annual advocacy day seeking continued state funding. Students met lawmakers wearing traditional red-and-white shirts while sharing how Commonwealth funds help keep tuition affordable.
